The Worli Police have registered an FIR towards a 38-year-old man from Mira Road for rash and negligent driving, which triggered minor accidents to him and two passengers. The incident came about on March 22 at 10.30pm on the Coastal Road close to Arch Span 60, northbound in Worli.
The FIR has been filed below sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for endangering public security and part 184 of the Motor Autos Act for harmful driving.
In keeping with the police, Mohammad Khalid Shafaqat Shaikh was recklessly driving a brown BMW (MH 02 CP 1387), endangering his life and that of his passengers. His negligent driving led to a minor accident, injuring himself and co-passengers Mamta Jay Shah, 38, a resident of Surat, Gujarat and Sandhya Ajay Nirmal, 37, a resident of Malad West.
Primarily based on the criticism, Shaikh has been booked for rash driving. Additional investigation is underway to find out if dashing or different site visitors violations have been concerned.
